It's probably because it's 70 degrees now in Cleveland, but I'm starting to get excited for this baseball season. By all accounts, the Indians should not be good; but I can't help but get excited about the success the team is having in Arizona.
Ok, i know. Spring Training means nothing. But having success for a young (sort of) ball club can be contagious. The offense seems to be hitting the lights out of the ball this spring, and it would be so nice if Hafner can maintain this kind of hitting throughout the season.
I know the pitching is suspect, and the team will go through a rough spot. But I am at least holding out hope that the Indians can be one of those teams that scores 900 runs in the season but finishes with a .500 record. That would happen because our pitching is bad...but at least that would make for an interesting and fun season to watch. That's about all we can ask for at this point.
